I feel so mature

Upon receiving a text from Temple announcing that classes are canceled Monday and Tuesday, my first response was “buggerit.” Classes didn’t meet last week, for different reasons, and I am conscious of the brevity of the semester and the amount of material remaining to cover; I’ve been generally pleased by the quality of class meetings, and am sorry to lose this opportunity.

And, of course, I am apprehensive that another tree might fall on my house or something. (Let’s give that one a “millennium hand and shrimp.”) Worrying about property damage is also part of being a mature adult.
